LASTMA, LASAMBUS rescue accident victim in Lagos 

Operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), yesterday, rescued a male accident victim on Anthony-Oke Bridge, inward the Gbagada area of Lagos. 
 
Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department, LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed that the victim sustained internal injuries during the accident which involved three vehicles, including a mini bus.  

According to him, preliminary investigations revealed that the driver of a Suzuki mini bus, marked EKY 299 YC, while on a top speed, contesting the Right of Way (R.O.W) with other vehicles, developed a brake failure and rammed two other vehicles (Toyota Corolla GGE 824 JA and Toyota Venza KSF 954 HG) on top of Anthony Bridge. 
 
“LASTMA officials have cleared all the affected vehicles off the road and handed over them to police officers from Ilupeju Police Division for further investigation. The accident victim was rushed to General Hospital in Ikeja by LASAMBUS,” he said.
