Abia SDP rep candidate steps down for Onyejeocha

Onyejeocha
Social Democratic Party (SDP) Abia State House of Representatives candidate, Ochuba Ikechukwu, has stepped down for Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

Ikechukwu’s decision to work with Onyejeocha, who is the Deputy Chief Whip of House Representatives, was made known through a statement signed by her media office, yesterday.

Also, leaders and members of the party, drawn from various wards of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, have also endorsed Onyejeocha as their preferred candidate for the election, assuring her of their support.

In a meeting attended by SDP party executives, including the party’s Isuikwuato Council Chairman, Okereke G, women leaders and other members of SDP from the various wards, the SDP candidate said they came to identify with Onyejeocha, and to support her.

Speaking during their visit, Ikechukwu said he came along with his supporters and party executives across wards from the two councils of the constituency to pledge their support for Onyejeocha’s re-election.

He explained that their decision was informed by the fact that the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency can’t afford to start all over again when the constituency has more to benefit from her level of experience in the House.
